Jerry Sloan To Resign As Utah Jazz Coach


Latest news and updates According to the internet media its all about Latest news and updates,internet media provided real hot topic information,SALT LAKE CITY — Hall of Famer Jerry Sloan is stepping down after 23 years and 1,127 wins as head coach of the Utah Jazz.

A person with knowledge of the situation confirmed Sloan's resignation Thursday, and the team has called a 3 p.m. press conference for what it deemed a "significant announcement."

The person told The Associated Press that longtime assistant Phil Johnson, who also was in his 23rd season with the Jazz, also will resign. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the resignations have not yet been formally announced.

Assistant Tyrone Corbin is a possible replacement as interim coach.

Salt Lake City television station KSL first reported the pending resignations.
